Wuurgengel Bar, Berlin, Germany

In the old days a famous bar for leftist east-Berlin intellectual, the Wuurgengel (the name comes from El angel exterminador by Luis Buñuel, 1962) has still plenty of groove: go there at 7pm to enjoy a quite Martini, and stay until late to see the place getting crowded with very interesting people. In between you can have dinner in the restaurant next door, accessible from the bar itself through a small backdoor. Apart from being one of the few bars where you can smoke while sipping a good cocktail, the music, the crew and the people there are simply perfect. Classic Martini rate: 8/10.
